Entrepreneurship: jumping off a cliff and assembling a plane on the way down
There is no easy way to build a winner and no guarantee it will work. There is no secret formula to build one that will either blow up onto the scene like Instagram, or slowly grow through strategic pivoting. There is also no method to use if you don’t have any skills, but it comes down to knowing yourself, surrounding yourself with the right people, and continually execute and iterate. Whatever the idea, however, it all has to be approached in a similar manner to forming a scientific hypothesis and executing an experiment.
1. Identify a problem, its nature, market and associated variables. Connect with the likeminded.
2. Draft a solution (throw out, redraft, repeat until intelligible and actionable)
3. Build the solution, implement and test the solution
4. Expand your community of supporters, testers, evangelists, advocates, and money to beta/grow
5. Launch the solution
6. Pray to God it takes off. DO NOT BUILD NEW FEATURES YET (do one thing and do it right)
7. Collect stats, build press, actively engage users, tweak product
8. Listen, evolve and grow
